Methi ke Parathe: Green vegetables are very beneficial for health, regardless of their use in their diet in any manner. The winter season has come, this season is different from eating different types of parathas, there is also a fenugreek in the market, why not today we make Parathas with fenugreek Leaves.

Servings: 4

Ingredients:

Note: 1 Cup = 250 ml

For Making Dough:

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour (Ata)
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoon fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon pomegranate (anardana) powder
  • 2 green chili, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • Salt as per your taste
  • 1 table spoon oil, to fry
  • Water for making dough

Methods:

For Making Dough:

  1. Take a large bowl; add 1 cup ata, and all ingredients except oil. Mix altogether.
  2. Add water slowly and make soft dough, and keep aside.

For Frying Paratha:

  1. Pinch balls from the dough, flatten and dust it in whole wheat flour.
  2. Now roll them into about 3-4 inch diameter rounds.
  3. Heat an iron tava on high flame. Place the paratha on hot tava.
  4. When tava side paratha is partially cooked. Then flip it and apply some oil and spread evenly. Flip the paratha.
  5. Again apply some oil on another side in the same way. And flip again.
  6. Now cook the paratha from both the side till crisp brown spot appear on both the side.
  7. Serve Methi ke parathe with dahi (curd), pickle & chutney.
